Am I going to miss this place, our home for the last 6 years and plus?
Believe or not, finally, we would get the keys to the new house in 2 weeks. And we are moving in a month and a half. It is getting so close. I have been waiting for this to happen for so long, I feel like I have wasted the whole half a year just counting the days. But I guess it is not true. According to my no. 1 fan, this move motivated me to keep myself busy in the most productive way for the past several years.
After we get the keys to the new house, we would start renovating the house while we would slowly pack our things and say good bye to our home for the last 6 years and some more. 1/38 Ferry Street. Would I miss you at all? I think I would. It has been our true first house in New Zealand. We started our family here. We made this place as comfortable as we could. We put love and care to this 3 story town house. It was a great transition house from our tiny NYC apartment.
What would I miss the most from here? Maybe having 4 toilets among 3 of us(haha) and the plenty of clever storage space that we had. But oh boy, I will be so happy not to see the red back splash in the kitchen!
