What have I liked the most in the last 4 months doing this house project?
I liked pretty much every step. I was definitely getting impatient here and there since certain things take time to be done, but as I was working on the house, fixing almost every part of the house, and making it look fresh and functioning better and ultimately presenting it "prettier", throughout all of it, I experienced so much satisfaction.
As a designer at heart, obviously I enjoyed the very last part the most. Presenting the house the best we could. I had discovered "staging" earlier this year, and I was very intrigued by the idea, and Kevin who started to explore new opportunities in real estate side gave me an opportunity to explore my interest in staging houses.
But once I really started to explore "staging", the logistic was a bit too much to handle for now. Buying and storing furniture and decorations didn't make sense financially for now. Luckily, we could work with a stager that Kevin knew before, and we could use some of hers and I could do my thing on top of her stuff. And I have been collecting art works, objects and growing plants and flowers for months prior to the finishing of the house. Me, growing plants took a huge learning curve, but I managed to grow a few healthy. And this beauty, string of pearl is one of my favourites.
This is my third one trying, and after two failures, I have learned this beautiful succulent plants need less love than how much I gave to the previous ones.
I will definitely post more about my staging process during Darlington house project, but I just like to share how proud and precious I feel towards this lovely plant that I have been growing.
